A lot of people will tell you no … But I beg to differ. True, if you invest randomly, you probably won’t beat the market. But if you’re meticulous, I think you can definitely give the market a run for its money. Let me be clear … There’s a lot about the market that will always be a mystery. There are too many factors at work for any trader to hit the mark every time. But that doesn’t mean that I got rich trading stocks through dumb luck. I hear this kind of thing all the time … “Sykes got lucky. He made all his money in the late 90s.” FALSE! Actually, my best year was in 2014 when I made over $800K. You can see it for yourself. I post every trade publicly on Profit.ly. (My results aren’t typical. Most traders lose money. Always remember trading is risky and do your due diligence for every trade. Never risk more than you can afford.) I made my millions through lots of carefully planned and executed trading. My small wins added up over time. In this video, I’ll tell you about the mindset I’ve adopted. It’s helped me stay consistent as a trader. I’ll also share why I like to pretend that I’m a retired trader. I’ll confess … I can be an overtrader! The struggle is real. Find out how I keep myself from falling into that trap. I’ll also tell you a secret — no matter how smart you are, it’s impossible to know the top or bottom of a stock’s movement. That means it’s not about capturing the entire move — it’s about getting the meat of it. Am I cowardly? Some might say I am. But I like to trade scared so that I’m not scared to trade. My gains might not be huge … but then again, neither are my losses. By following my #1 rule of cutting losses quickly, I can continue to grow my account over time. I can keep building solid trading habits. That’s how you work to grow an account. Leave a comment … What do you think about my strategy? I wanna know! โ
