Turns out, the mask wasn’t originally made just for him—it might have been repurposed from someone else, possibly a queen. X-ray analysis showed mismatched metals and an altered design, like the nameplate being switched to Tut’s after his unexpected death. The craftsmanship is still incredible, but it’s clear his burial was a bit rushed, leaving behind some ancient "last-minute project" vibes.
