Proof of Art, a free, one-night-only event exploring the intersection between cryptocurrency and art, taking place Wednesday, May 25 at Code and Canvas. Many of the works on display will integrate digital currency and cryptography in an innovative manner, and each of these leading artists in the space actively sells their art via Bitcoin. @coin_artist will be unveiling her latest physical/digital creation which challenges viewers to solve a complex puzzle in order to reap significant bitcoin rewards. cryptograffiti is debuting a range of new pieces which speak to the benefits of cryptocurrencies vs. the status quo. Troy Fearnow, founder of Cryptoart, shall display his limited edition Giclee prints, with each design incorporating a QR code, cold-storage wallet. Max Mellenbruch, inventor of the Kialara physical bitcoins, will be on hand to show a range of his popular creations. The event will begin with a presentation by Verisart CEO Robert Norton, whose blockchain-based platform for certification and verification is changing how the art world approaches provenance. All of the artwork exhibited at the show will be available for purchase via this Proof of Art event page. A portion of each sale will be donated to Bitgive, a non-profit foundation leveraging the power of the Bitcoin community to improve public health and the environment world-wide.
