What was special about the 1980s? Well, in 1980, the Rubik’s Cube debuted internationally. (By the way, originally, the Rubik’s Cube was named “Magic Cube”.) In 1982, the first emoticons were invented. In 1985, the first Nintendo home game console is launched in North America. In 1988, Stephen Hawking’s “A Brief History of Time” was published.
