All gemstones are beautiful, but rubies are absolutely amazing. They're red and sparkly. For centuries, people have been choosing them as special gifts and wearing on very special occasions. However, there also have been all sorts of stories about rubies bringing bad luck and danger into a person's life. Do rubies really have special properties as some people believe? The British royals love wearing all kinds of stones: diamonds, sapphires, emeralds. But you can hardly see a member of the royal family wearing a ruby.
