Rubik’s Cube Solved in Less Than a Second, Here’s How

Did you know who invented the Rubik’s cube? It's much younger than you probably think: Hungarian sculptor Ernő Rubik invented the cube in 1974. It was originally called “Magic cube,” but later, the name was changed to patent it in other countries. A standard 3×3 cube has 43 quintillion possible arrangements. The world record for solving the Rubik’s cube is just 3.47 seconds! In 2018, a couple of MIT students built a Rubik’s cube-solving robot: it needed just 0.38 seconds. #brightside Animation is created by Bright Side.
