Shall we ever find a new home in space, and can the Moon be that home? If we resettle, we'd need to find a way to grow crops in its soil. During the first trips to the Moon in the Apollo program, astronauts brought back some rocks and soil to study and tried to grow a seed in it. To their surprise, it only took 2 days to see little green leaves and 6 days for them to be properly visible.
