Taking a photo with your phone takes less than a second, but in their early days, photos took way longer. The oldest photograph in the world is about 200 years old. It took around 8 hours to capture it! It was taken by Joseph Niepce in Saint-Loup-de-Varennes, France, and titled simply ‘view from the window.’ And if you think selfies are a recent concept, here comes the big surprise: the first selfie was taken in 1839!
