The thylacine was the largest land predator throughout mainland of Australia. But as humans migrated and brought dingoes, the Thylacine struggled to compete for food and almost disappeared around 2000 years ago. A group of US and Australian scientists have banded together to bring the Thylacine back from extinction. The first step will be to structure its genome.
