π‘ Brighten your style with our merch here (US Only): http://amzn.to/3tkGbpY Today, we’re going deep into the dark parts of the ocean for the ultimate showdown. It's Megalodon against one of the biggest sea reptiles that ever existed: Shonisaurus. Time to see how these prehistoric giants stack up against each other! The odds look like they're in Megalodon's favor. The gigantic shark had 5 rows of over 250 razor-sharp teeth and the strongest bite-force of any creature that ever lived on this planet, way more than a Great White Shark or even T-Rex! Shonisaurus had no teeth, was smaller in size, and some theories say the giant squid legend Kraken had something to do with this prehistoric reptile's disappearance! But maybe Shony can defeat the ultimate terror of the sea with a little help from her friends? Eight rounds and only one winner. Who will it be? #brightside Animation is created by Bright Side.

We dive back in time and into the oceans over half a billion years ago. Watch out! It’s not Megalodon or giant sea reptiles like Mosasaurus you need to look out for . It’s a bizarre, unearthly looking creature called anomalocaris. It looked like a nightmarish cross between a shrimp and a modern-day centipede. Two tentacles protruding from its face, each lined with razor-sharp teeth. This thing was about the size of your leg, and it had an insatiable appetite for other animals! Prehistoric times were filled with plenty of other monsters and bizarre dinosaurs you've never heard of! I'm talking, a dinosaur that looked like a goose, was taller than your house, and with giant clawed arms that make those of the T-rex look even more bite-sized! That and more in this list of jaw-dropping, spine-chilling prehistoric animals! π¦ #brightside CC BY 3.0 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0:

An unknown creature vaguely resembling a human has been found near the edge of the local forest. This strange creature is… you! You've been stung by 100 Asian giant hornets, and your body is unrecognizable! Asian giant hornets are about the size of an adult's thumb, almost three times the size of a normal bee. Their equally giant stinger can pierce even a beekeeping suit! Those who've survived being stung compare it to a red-hot needle. The stinger pierces the skin and injects venom. Once it enters the body, the vessels around the sting dilate. The area becomes red and swollen. Now just imagine what 100 of these giant hornets could do to a person! Well, here's a crazy hypothetical at what that might look like! π #brightside Preview photo credit: Asian giant hornet (Vespa mandarinia), close-up of the head: By LAWRENCE LAWRY/Science Photo Library/East News, https://www.eastnews.ru/pictures/picture/id/73940930/i/73/t/75

In space, inky darkness between blinding points of light does a great job. It hides black holes – gaping, hungry, and scary. Their blackness makes it really difficult for astronomers to find detailed information about these space monsters. There's a hypothetical type of black hole called primordial that could be filling the universe. As in, thousands of them crammed together in clusters the size of the distance between our Sun and the nearest star! Even more bizarre: these black holes could actually be the mysterious dark matter that's baffled scientists for decades! Astronomers know its exists and that it makes up 80% of the universe. But they can't find a single particle of the stuff. Maybe because the "stuff" was a black hole the entire time! When you think it's not possible, space just got even more mysterious than ever! ππ΅ #brightside Color-composite image of the dwarf galaxy PHL 293B taken with the Hubble Space telescope's Wide Field Camera 3 in 2011: By NASA, ESA/Hubble, J. Well, I think we all realize that something strange is going on with the oceans when those creepy creatures start popping up. A fish with a long bony stick growing out of its head, a creature that looks like a pulsing pile of spaghetti, a purple jellyfish that looks like lava! These creatures are inhabitants of the deepest parts of the sea and have always lived here. Something’s forced them to come to the surface. Something deep in the ocean that's heating the water up. Something so powerful and frightening, deep sea monsters are coming out of hiding to escape it! You think you're safe enough staying out of the water. But soon, you realize boiling oceans quickly affect you too! Less oxygen, torrential rains, floods, tornadoes, typhoons and hurricanes become a daily nightmare! How will you survive in a world with heated up oceans? π± #brightside Animation is created by Bright Side.
