30+ Facts Made Me a Bit Scared of Space
Can you imagine looking at the night sky and not seeing the Moon up there? Instead, you'd see a huge red circle! What if Mars orbited the Earth? Then we'd sing "fly me to Mars" or wonder what's hidden in "the far side" of Mars. Mars is about double the size of the Moon, so it would appear twice as big in the sky! It would be a fantastic view, for sure. But what would come with it? Tsunamis, huge monster waves in the ocean, earthquakes? Let's find out how space bodies influence our lives here on Earth. Nobody Knows What’s Hiding Under Jupiter’s Red Spot
The fastest wind speed ever recorded on Earth was related to a hurricane gust. On April 10, 1996, Tropical Cyclone Olivia was passing by Barrow Island, Western Australia. At one moment, the storm reached the speed of a Category 4 hurricane – 254 mph! That's faster than a Formula One racing car. You can probably imagine how much damage this kind of wind can cause. The only windstorm faster than that is a tornado. The air inside a whirlwind can move at a speed of 300 mph! Unfortunately, there's no sure way to measure tornadic winds. Here are some more numbers: 35 mph and more – that's the speed of the average blizzard. 50 to 65 mph – that's how fast a severe thunderstorm moves. More than 74 mph is the speed of a powerful tropical hurricane. Up to 400 mph … wait, do such speeds exist? Yep – but you need to travel to Jupiter to see a storm that speedy! The Great Red Spot is an enormous storm raging in the Southern Hemisphere of the gas giant. #brightside TIMESTAMPS:

50 Body Facts Change How You See Your Friends
A human being is one of nature’s greatest wonders. Notwithstanding the fact that our bodies are being constantly analyzed and studied, scientists still make incredible findings in this field. We've collected some interesting facts about the human body that usually go unnoticed. Did you know, for example, that zebras, skunks, squirrels, and tigers aren’t the only animals with stripes? So are you! These stripes are invisible to the naked eye but they cover your entire body! Or have you ever heard that bodies throw thermal radiation off as a tiny amount of light? This light is 1,000 times less visible than normal light so you’re not a torch yet! The lowest temperature a human has been intentionally cooled to was 48.2°F, the longest someone has ever stayed awake was 11 days and 25 minutes, the longest kiss went for over 58 hours! A couple from Thailand made the record claiming the Guinness World Records title and the cash prize! #brightside Music by Epidemic Sound https://www.epidemicsound.com/ Subscribe to Bright Side : https://goo.gl/rQTJZz

They Found Something on Saturn’s Moon, and It Could Mean Life
Look up, find that little yellow dot…That's Titan. It’s Saturn’s largest moon, and the second largest moon in our whole solar system. And it might be the only place in our solar system where there’s liquid water… besides Earth. Titan is a bit bigger than our moon and a whole lot heavier. The surface is mostly made up of ice, it has small mountains, craters, and a few cryo-volcanoes. But many experts believe there's a whole ocean under the surface of Titan! Scientists have actually found real evidence that Titan might already have life on it. The planet shot to the top of the list of places we could one day live on, sorry Mars. NASA has a new project, the Dragonfly mission. They’re gonna send a drone out there, and explore Titan even more. The mission’s still about 6 years away, and the rocket will reach Saturn's moon 9 years after that, so we’re going to have to wait a while before we pack up and move to Titan. So in the meantime, let's find out more about this amazing celestial body! #brightside Preview photo credit: A composite image of Saturn's moon Titan taken by the Cassini spacecraft: By Pablo Carlos Budassi, CC BY-SA 4.0 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0, https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?curid=94142155

If You Want Better Sleep in 1 Night, Toss Your Pillow!
The first pillows we know of date back to Ancient Mesopotamia. They were made of stone, and only wealthy people could afford them. Unlike ancient stone pillows, the ones we use today are soft and fluffy, and many people can’t sleep without hugging a big cozy pillow. But in fact, sleeping with a pillow may not be the best way to rest, as it can affect your body and your mood. Some of the pillows make you sleep in an unnatural position and don’t support your head. A pillow’s not gonna give you a backache all on its own, but it can make things worse. Having no pillow’s better than a bad one, test it out for yourself. If you wake up refreshed without one, it’s time to chuck that thing out! Of course, it can be difficult to part with your favorite pillow, but sleeping without it has many health benefits, and we did our research to introduce you to some of them. So if you feel tired when you wake up, these tips might help you! #brightside TIMESTAMPS:
