How to prevent your car from being stolen? Are you sure you feel safe when you leave your car out overnight, in a parking lot, or at the office? Every year, shifty lawbreakers steal millions of cars, all over the world. That’s about 800,000 a year, just in the US! And thieves are getting more inventive every year. They’ve learned how to turn off alarms, out-smart smart keys and, on average, drive away in your car in just 20 seconds! So, what’re you gonna do? Let's start with the basics, like when your car alarm starts talking to you! You’re sitting at home, when suddenly "Beep-beep-beep" “Get out here and help me!” Your car’s screaming at you! You grab your keys and rush to the window. Hmm, “I don't see anyone. Maybe a neighbor passed by a little too close… or a bird sat on my antenna.” What if everything isn’t so harmless, and someone was trying to get into your car? Step up your game with a mute immobilizer! Here's how it works! #brightside Music by Epidemic Sound https://www.epidemicsound.com/ Subscribe to Bright Side : https://goo.gl/rQTJZz

Simple Way They Moved Titanic to Water and 12 Biggest Objects
When the Titanic began its fateful voyage, it weighed about 52,000 tons. Now, how did they even get it into the water in the first place? Step 1, find tons of soap and natural fat. Step 2, dump it all over the ramp in front of the Titanic. They even put grease all over the outside of the ship, to make sure it didn’t get scratched, dented, or even rip open. Just like that, the Titanic plopped softly into the water and the workers and owners breathed a sigh of relief. When they built the Aswan Dam in Egypt, they needed to clear out a huge area for the new artificial lake. Almost 100,000 people had to move out of their homes! That was the easy part. But engineers also had to try to move 2 huge ancient Egyptian temples, or they’d be lost underwater forever. So what did they do? Let's find out! Today, we'll tell you about the most epic transport operations in history and the biggest things ever to be transported by sea or moved on the road. #brightside TIMESTAMPS:

50+ Creatures Prove We Know Nothing of the Ocean
Watch more videos in our new App: https://bit.ly/3g9KM8j We’re used to seeing land-roaming animals and we’re used to seeing birds flying in the sky. But there’s an entire world of creatures living and thriving below sea level. So far, we know about almost 230,000 sea species and are still sure that there are a lot more out there. Every year, new discoveries add to our amusement. These marine animals have a distinctive color and their body structure makes them look like something from a cartoon or a fantasy movie. For example, dancing shrimps raise their bottom above their head and do a little dance when agitated. Hairy octopus looks like it’s forgotten to comb its hair in the morning but it’s actually its skin that’s sticking in every direction. Margined sea lizard isn’t an actual lizard — it’s a kind of sea slug that dwells close to the water surface. It swims upside down and somersaults to get food. We compiled a selection of the weirdest sea creatures that are sure to mesmerize you with their appearance. #brightside Music by Epidemic Sound https://www.epidemicsound.com/ Subscribe to Bright Side : https://goo.gl/rQTJZz

What If Humans Had No Hair at All?
Hair. It’s all around you. Tiny, almost invisible, or really, really long! You might even try to get rid of some of it, but hair keeps coming back. There are few body parts that aren’t covered with hair, like our palms, soles, and lips. Palms would stay the same in a hairless world, but you’d probably have different hands – with no fingernails at all. They’re technically hair – they’re made of keratin too. Modified hair at your fingertips! If you enjoy mellow bird songs, music or the sound of the ocean, congrats, you have hair! Sounds weird, but tiny hairs in your ear actually help you hear everything around you. There are tiny hair cells with tiny bristles in the inner ear and they kind of "brush" against sensory cells which help detect sound. When you get older, some of these hairs fall out, so it’s harder to hear things. But in a hairless world, we’d all be deaf! What else would be different if we had no hair? #brightside TIMESTAMPS:

Put an Onion in Your Sock Before Bed, Wake Up to This!
Friday night after work, you decide to drive over to your grandma's for the weekend. She cooks you a delicious dinner and listens to all your stories. You mention the office AC must have given you a slight cold – you coughed a couple of times. Grandma says nothing and just nods and smiles like she’s up to something. You go to bed and fall asleep like a baby. Next morning, you wake up with onions in your socks and a tennis ball tied to your back! What’s all that supposed to mean? Grandma explains she’s carefully sliced and put onions into your socks to help you with your cold. Grandma’s learned this folk remedy from her grandma, who’d learned it from her grandma and she’d learned it from hers. The story goes on and on as the remedy comes from as early as the 1500s. Back then, people used to believe spreading raw sliced onions around your house would serve as protection from diseases. Let's figure out whether the onion remedy does work or it's a placebo effect. #brightside TIMESTAMPS:
