What If Huge Spiders Occupied All Streets And Other Spine-Chilling What-If Stories

Hypothetical questions broaden our horizons – do you agree? Right after saying "what if…", we start wondering around our imagination in search of possible scenarios. Here's one of them: what if enormous spiders invaded your city? What do you do? Whom do you call? How do you protect yourself? Another absurd question: what if time freezes and you can do whatever you want? You can even draw mustache on your boss's face, if you want to. Or shave off your worst enemy's hair. Even though such scenarios sounds too sci-fi, they might be worth paying attention to. What if…? What If a Huge Volcano Erupted Today

What would happen if Vesuvius Volcano erupted today? It’s erupted many times in the past. In fact, that's how it got its shape. It's made of multiple layers of hardened lava, pumice, and ash. Vesuvius last erupted in 1944. But a major blast happened there nearly 2,000 years ago. It buried the Roman towns of Pompeii and Herculaneum and decimated the surrounding areas. The tragic eruption have left a deep mark in modern history. Mount Vesuvius is regarded as one of the deadliest volcanos in the human history. But today, 3 million people live less than 20 milesfrom the volcano, and 600,000 live in the danger zone. Large eruptions happen every few thousand years, usually after long periods of calm. And the trouble is, Vesuvius is long overdue for its next one… #brightside TIMESTAMPS: DAY 1 0:01

50+ Survival Skills When You Have Only Seconds to Act

Hopefully you'll never find yourself in a falling elevator or facing an angry bear, or lost in the middle of a desert, or suffering from a frostbite. However, if something dangerous happens, it's important to know how to act in such situations. You never know what life's preparing for you. In order to be forearmed and ready to face any situations on your way, check out these survival tips that might save your life one day. For example, do you know that one of the main rules you should follow in a falling elevator, is not to stand up straight. One more rule is not to jump… ever! Jumping will not save your life. The best option is to lie flat on the floor. This position will distribute the force across your entire body. And one more obvious but important thing: don't panic!   Music by Epidemic Sound https://www.epidemicsound.com/ Subscribe to Bright Side : https://goo.gl/rQTJZz

3D Journey to All the Planets

Let’s assume that people learned how to breathe in space without special equipment and we found a way to reach any planet in the Solar System. So how about to set off on an amazing journey right now? Wanna know what the surface of other planets looks like? Then join us! We're going to set foot on the surface of each planet in the Solar System and the Sun! The Sun's surface looks like scorched earth, Mercury looks eerily similar to the good old Moon, and Venus turns out to be very different from the bluish planet you saw in pictures! Before landing, you have to get through a super-dense atmosphere that's made up of carbon dioxide. Saturn doesn't have any solid surface at all! Can you imagine that? Its temperature and density change the deeper you go. Interested? Then here are the most intriguing facts about our Solar System, and its planets you probably did not know! #brightside TIMESTAMPS:

16 Riddles to Give Your Brain a Needed Break

Riddles are so much more than just games. Not only do they entertain us, but they also make us use our minds in a different way. Most people think using a standard thinking pattern, and this makes it difficult for them to see any other solution other than the obvious one. But some people think in a more creative way because they have developed lateral thinking skills. But the truth is that we all inherently have lateral thinking skills, we just don’t always put them to practice. However, once our minds get used to following new patterns, those tasks that demand our deductive skills will become easier over time. They may even help us become more creative. We offer you some riddles that will test your ability to think differently. #brightside TIMESTAMPS:

75+ Amazing Facts I Just Found Out the First Time Ever

You can find anything you want on the Internet. Answers to any questions, shortcuts, solutions – any information you need. However, it's so much cooler to impress you friends with your knowledge even without peeping at the screen of your gadget! For example, did you know that reindeer change the color of their eyes from gold in summer to blue in winter. These animals may be best known for fictional Rudolph's glowing red nose, but it turns out, their eyes are quite fascinating too! The change in eye color helps reindeer eyes capture more light during dark winter months in the Arctic.  Music by Epidemic Sound https://www.epidemicsound.com/ Subscribe to Bright Side : https://goo.gl/rQTJZz

Someone Asked Me If Snakes Sneeze and the Answer’s Surprising

Snakes. And if you guessed that the thing snakes can’t do is sneeze—sorry. They can’t chew, but snakes can sneeze. Even though they don’t seem to have noses, snakes do have nostrils. However, they only use their nostrils for breathing. Snakes do their smelling with their tongue and a thing called the Jacobson’s organ – which is located above their mouth—kind of between the nostril and the eye. The snake picks up hints of …whatever there is to be smelled … on its tongue and then passes them back to the Jacobson’s organ for decoding. To give you an idea of how well this thing works, consider how different nature’s best smellers, dogs, are from snakes. Dogs are friendly, furry, and warm-blooded; serpents, not so much! But these two do share – the Jacobson’s organ! Yeah, snakes are fascinating creatures, and they’ll be even more fascinating when you learn these interesting snake facts! #brightside Music by Epidemic Sound https://www.epidemicsound.com/ Subscribe to Bright Side : https://goo.gl/rQTJZz
