Is there any natural phenomenon that truly scares you? Maybe a thunderstorm, a flood or a tornado? How about something much less common but pretty real: spider rain! Yup! It may rain spiders in some places of our planet. And after it happens, the whole ground is covered with spider web like a white carpet. There're many weird places on Earth where really strange things can happen. For example, a sleeping town – people fall asleep there without any particular reasons and their sleep may last long. Another place is a city where no boys are born and girls truly rule there. Music by Epidemic Sound https://www.epidemicsound.com/ Subscribe to Bright Side : https://goo.gl/rQTJZz

What Happened to the Most Unfortunate Hotel in the World
If you ever decide to set out on a Google-Maps journey around North Korea, you’ll notice a long white rectangle docked at the Mount Kumgang port. That's no superyacht or ship – it’s the world’s first floating hotel! Designed in Sweden, built in Singapore, opened in Australia, relocated to Vietnam, and then on to North Korea – the 7-story hotel has traveled around 9,000 miles within a decade! Back in the early ‘80s, a guy named Doug Tarca decided to bring tourists to Townsville, Australia, not far from the Great Barrier Reef. Tarca used to be a professional diver and wanted to find the best way to show the famous attraction to tourists without harming the reef in any way. He first started giving tours of the reef in a catamaran with a glass bottom. A few months later, Tarca went even bigger – he set his sights on building the world’s first floating hotel! But what went wrong with it? #brightside Preview photo credit: The seven-story high, 200-room floating hotel built by Bethlehem Singapore PTE Ltds shipyard shown in 1987: By ASSOCIATED PRESS/East News, https://www.eastnews.ru/pictures/picture/id/7278586/i/0/t/0

What Would Happen to You Inside a Black Hole
The nearest black hole is 1,011 light-years away. This black pearl was found in the Solar System. It was hidden in orbit with two other stars, which you can see with the human eye. Scientists have been studying this system since the 80s, but this winter, it revealed its main secret. This particular black hole is considered relatively small. But despite this, its mass is four times bigger than our Sun, and it’s 2,500 light-years closer to Earth than the next nearest black hole. If we were to make a model where the Earth’s distance to the Sun was only .05 inches, you would have to travel about 4 miles to get to this black hole. But our galaxy, the Milky Way, is about 100,000 light-years wide. So the distance of 1,011 light-years doesn’t seem that long in comparison. But before you jump inside this black giant, you should understand that a journey to such a dangerous object as a black hole is a one-way ticket… #brightside TIMESTAMPS:

What If You Were the Queen for 1 Day
Have you ever wondered what the Queen does on a typical day? Well, let's see. 8:30 AM on the dot. Wake up! You have a lot on the schedule today, Your Majesty. Yes, you’re the Queen of England for a day – this should be fun! You get out of bed at 9 and head to the terrace to enjoy the sounds of your personal bagpipe player. Next up: a bath before breakfast. No rushed showers for Your Highness. Nothing beats dipping in a relaxing tub! Now you head to the kitchen. Oh, wait, the longest-reigning monarch in British history doesn’t have her breakfast in the kitchen! You head to the dining room instead. As you’re enjoying your healthy meal, you read the newspaper. One headline says, “300 of the Richest People in Britain!” You fail to find your own name among them. Yep, even the Queen herself is by far not the wealthiest person in the kingdom, but at least you have your own ATM in your palace! So, here are the most interesting facts about Queen Elizabeth II and her everyday life. #brightside TIMESTAMPS:
