When bad hair days are your everyday reality, it really zaps the fun out of your morning routine. Thankfully, all you need to do to make your hair perfect is know your hair type and how to operate with it! In the 90s, Andre Walker, one of the most talented hairstylists who worked with Oprah Winfrey and Halle Berry, came up with his own hair typing system. It was originally created for his hair care line but quickly became widely popular. Basically, Andre Walker classifies not one or two but 9 different types of hair! And it's time to find out which one of them is yours. Other videos you might like:

– Hair group #1 4:17
– Hair group #2 5:21
– Hair group #3 6:11
– Hair group #4 7:20 #haircare #hairstyle #naturalhair Music by Epidemic Sound https://www.epidemicsound.com/ SUMMARY:
– In the Andre Walker hair typing system, everything comes down to how curly your hair is naturally. – 1A hair is usually not thick at all and extremely soft and fine. Its biggest advantage is that it naturally looks really shiny.
– 1B hair, on the other hand, is kinda thick and has great volume near the roots, so it looks way more full than 1A hair type.
– 1C hair is really thick and has impressive volume. However, it's almost impossible to curl! This type is pretty common among Asian women.
– 2A hair is right in between wavy and straight. Without any styling, it tends to form weak S-shaped strands, curling a bit at the ends.
– 2B hair has way more visible and prominent S-shaped curls. It can be slightly frizzy as well, adhering to the shape of your head.
– 2C hair combines wavy and curly hair. It's very frizzy, quickly curls up in humid environments, and has tons of volume and generally thicker waves. – 3A hair is shiny and great at taking any form you want it to. This type has a very definite S-shape which makes it appear full and healthy. – 3B type has a smaller curl pattern than 3A, ranging from spiral-like curls to tight corkscrews. It also has a combination texture. – 3C hair is actually thinner than 3A and 3B but its curls are smaller which makes it appear thicker. Plus, it's very tight, almost to the point of being kinky. – 4A hair has an S-shaped pattern if you stretch it, but usually it's just tight coils. It tends to be thin, brittle, and fragile.
– 4B hair bends with really sharp angles and often has a Z-shape and zigzag-like curls. Just like 4A, this type is pretty fragile as well. – And 4C type is the hardest to style and take care of. It doesn't have a definite curl pattern which makes it look awesome but extremely hard to comb.
– Straight and soft hair like yours gets dirty and oily pretty quickly, so try to pick the shampoos that have curative clay as one of the components. It will make your hair stay clean longer. – If you fall into the second hair group, your hair care should be completely different. Your main task is to make your hair look thick without it looking crazy and messy. Try to look for shampoos and conditioners with a moisturizing effect. – Curly-haired guys and girls from hair group number 3 have pretty much the same end goal as people with type 2 hair – keeping their curls hydrated.
– And, finally, type 4, it's your turn! Your hair doesn't get oily that easily, so unlike hair type number one, you don't have to wash it that often. The softer your shampoo and conditioner are, the better. Subscribe to Bright Side : https://goo.gl/rQTJZz —————————————————————————————-

That’s How Wi-Fi Actually Works

Remember the days when your internet was connected through the phone line? Oh, that sound of dial-up! We’ve come a long way since then, and chances are that you’re watching this video through Wi-Fi right now. So how did we get here anyway? In the 1980s, personal computers had begun to enter our lives for good. But at that time, they were connected to the internet through the infamous Ethernet cables. Maybe scientists were getting tired of tripping over all those cables? They decided they wanted to start sending data using radio signals. However, those early attempts were unsuccessful. What scientists didn’t know at the time was that the problem had been solved a decade before PCs were even invented! Other videos you might like:

What can block your Wi-Fi signal 8:50 #wifi #internet #technology Music by Epidemic Sound https://www.epidemicsound.com/ SUMMARY:
– The roots of Wi-Fi go way back to the 1940. That’s when a popular Hollywood actress and inventor by the name of Hedy Lamarr came up with a way to prevent radio signals from being tampered with. – Early attempts were unsuccessful since it all bounced back on walls, furniture, and pretty much anything that stood in a computer’s way.
– It all started back in the 1970s, with electrical engineer Dr. John O’Sullivan, a.k.a. “the father of Wi-Fi.” At the time, he and his team were trying to detect radio signals from distant black holes in space, and they came up with complex equations called Fast Fourier transforms.
– After a lot of experimentation, they took their fancy Fast Fourier transforms, added them in the mixture with the data equations they’d previously tried to send over radio, and thus they formed the basis for the Wi-Fi we all know and love today!
– Later in 1996, they further developed their original key patent, and by 1997 they finally cracked the code and came up with the first version of the 802.11 protocol. – Wi-fi is a pun for the word Hi-Fi, which means “high fidelity” – a technical term used for high-quality audio technology.
– The frequencies Wi-Fi routers use are 2.4 or 5 Gigahertz per second, which is why data gets transferred so quickly to your phone. – If you have baby monitors, garage doors, microwaves, cordless phones, and wireless cameras, they can interfere with your Wi-Fi. – When you turn your phone or computer on and get on the internet, all the information you’d like to access is broken down into binary code. And when you access something through Wi-Fi, then that binary code is transformed into wave frequencies. – Is Wi-Fi dangerous? Well, the short answer is no. Wi-Fi works at extremely low voltages. Even at short distances, Wi-Fi is just part of the household "smog" that’s generated by TV and radio signals.
– A typical router works at about 100 feet in every direction. As for what can block it, that’s pretty much anything that conducts electricity, like metal, water, mirrors, and even our bodies since they mainly consist of water. – Harry is an orphan who lives in a cupboard under the stairs with his aunt, uncle, and cousin. They’re not the nicest of people, and they treat Harry like dirt.
– Hermione Granger comes from a family of highly educated people in the real world. Her parents are just normal (or “muggle”) dentists.
– Ron Weasley always gets hand-knitted sweaters from his mom for Christmas, and she often sends him letters known as “howlers” that scream at the poor guy for everyone around to hear! – Hagrid is a massive man who looks scary when you first see him. But we soon learn that he’s just a big sweetheart with a giant heart of gold. – Neville Longbottom, who’s extremely clumsy and forgetful, also ends up becoming a hero once he decides to be brave. – Anyway, the study, called “The Greatest Magic of Harry Potter: Reducing Prejudice,” was led by psychologist Dr. Loris Vezzali. It consisted of 3 parts in which they tested elementary, high-school, and university students. – They noticed a significant connection between people who identify with the positive characters in the series and a better attitude toward stigmatized groups in society. – In the books and movies, there’s an overwhelming positive message with a focus on love, friendship, and tolerance, even in the face of horrible circumstances. – Reading about the struggles of alienated people could make you more sensitive towards them, as you can see through their eyes and picture yourself in their shoes. – Squats 6:47
– Glute bridge 7:22
– Walking lunges 7:57 #bowlegs #legexercises #knockknees Music by Epidemic Sound https://www.epidemicsound.com/ SUMMARY:
– If you notice your knees bending slightly outward, you probably have a bow-legged shape. The main goal for this leg type is to pull the knees closer by strengthening the muscles and then stretch the muscles to pull the knees out. – Pistol squats are basically one-leg squats. These guys give a great workout to tons of your leg muscles, including your hamstrings, gluteus maximus, calves, and the insides of your thighs. – Figure 4 stretch is kinda crazy but it’s unbelievably effective for a bow-legged shape. It mainly targets your hip’s internal rotators, improving the flexibility of your hip muscles.
– Toe touching is really quick and easy – you can do it anywhere, anytime, no special equipment necessary. It mainly focuses on stretching your hamstrings and outer thighs.
– When you stand still, are your thighs close to each other but your shins don't touch at all? Then you have knock-kneed legs or, as they are often called X-shaped legs. – Side lunges is one of the most popular leg exercises, and it’s perfect for knock-kneed legs. Side lunges target your inner and outer thighs as well as your hips, making your legs nice and slim.
– Knock-kneed leg shape basically suggests that you lack hip strength, and the lying hip abduction exercise takes care of it. It makes your outer thighs and hips work, balancing everything out.
– Side step-ups is another exercise to get the outer thighs made of steel! Moreover, this type of step-up can effortlessly improve your balance and protect your lower back. – If your knees touch but your lower legs actually go outward and look way too skinny, you’re probably in the false curvature group.
– Heel raises are the easiest exercise you can think of – just stand straight and raise up on your tip-toes at least 10 times. This simple movement significantly increases your calf strength, gradually changing your leg shape. – Walking, and especially running stairs is a great cardio workout. It makes your glutes, calves, and hamstrings way stronger, toning up your legs. – The biggest advantage of deep knee bends is that it causes your muscles to contract. This process boosts your blood flow and doubles your results, while also preventing strains.
– And finally, if your legs touch each other at the upper thighs, knees, calves, and ankles and have only one tiny gap from the ankles all the way up to the middle of the calves, you fall into the normal leg shape category. – Squats are probably the most effective leg exercise ever created! They cover multiple crucial muscle groups, including hamstrings, calves, abs, and glutes. – Glute bridges mainly work on your abs (cool!), your hamstrings (even better), and your glutes (obviously).
– Walking lunges don’t just target a couple of muscle groups like most exercises do – it works your entire leg! Your thigh muscles count as well, so it's basically the most symmetrical leg toning you can get. Subscribe to Bright Side : https://goo.gl/rQTJZz —————————————————————————————-

A Tree in Germany Has Its Own Address, and People Write to It for Help

Almost 130 years ago, one German chocolate maker named Wilhelm met a beautiful girl. Her name was Minna. But Minna’s father didn’t approve of the young couple’s relationship. So the lovers found a lovely oak tree, where they’d leave each other love letters in the knothole in the trunk. When Minna's father found out about it, he realized that he couldn’t stand in the way of true love! Since then, many love seekers have been sending letters –to the tree– in hopes of someone finding it and responding. In 1927, the tree started receiving so much mail that it got its own address. Karl-Heinz Martens, the postal worker, confessed that delivering letters to the oak was one of his favorite parts of the day. But the love story that sticks out most for Martens must be that of his own! Other videos you might like:

Animation is created by Bright Side. Music by Epidemic Sound https://www.epidemicsound.com/ SUMMARY:
– When this story first came out, the oak tree was dubbed “Der Bräutigamseiche” which in English means “The Bridegroom’s Oak”. Since then, many love seekers have been sending letters –to the tree– in hopes of someone finding it and responding.
– In 1989, a TV station was doing a feature on the Bridegroom’s Oak, and, of course, they had an interview with the postal worker delivering its mail. A question came up asking Martens if he ever found love with the tree’s help, and he said that he never did.
– Only a few days after this TV show aired, Martins spotted a handwritten note addressed to “the Oak’s postman”. The note was from a woman named Renate. The two got married, and their photo taken under the Tinder Tree made it in the newspapers. – In 1958, a German soldier named Peter Pump pulled a particular piece of paper out of the tree with only a name and address on it. The soldier and Miss Marita wrote each other letters for over a year. In 1961, the two were married and remain together to this day. – There are so many stories like these thanks to this 500-year-old tree. It gets more than 1,000 letters a year from people all over the world who are looking for love.
– If there’s a certain someone you want to marry, you need to walk around the trunk of the tree 3 times under a full moon while having the one you love on your mind. – The Bridegroom’s Oak was symbolically married to a 200-year-old chestnut tree near Dusseldorf! Although they were over 300 miles apart, they were married for 6 years before the chestnut had to be cut down due to old age. – So, Bright Siders, if you or someone you know is looking for love or just a nice pen pal, you can send a letter to the Bridegroom’s Oak! The address is: Bräutigamseiche, Dodauer Forst, 23701, Eutin, Germany. Subscribe to Bright Side : https://goo.gl/rQTJZz —————————————————————————————-
