OK, fine. I’m not a real doctor. But when it comes to diagnosing the health of stocks, I’ve got 20+ years of experience, and I’ve gotten pretty good at knowing what to look for. Apologies in advance, because this isn’t my most glamorous video. Sometimes I trade from fancy hotels, pools, beaches… … even once from my Lamborghini in a fast-food parking lot (don’t miss that video in the links). But today, I’m broadcasting from bed. Yep, I do a ton of while I’m just lounging around. I LOVE the flexibility of being able to trade whenever and wherever I want. For me, trading is all about freedom. I’m free to pursue the life I want. I have the ability to give back through my charities. Right now I’m in Australia, where I’m working with Save the Reef. That’s why it’s dark right now –– in Australia, the U.S. markets open at night. As I lounge in my hotel bed, I want to ask you this … How can you tell if a stock is healthy? Here’s the method that’s served me best: expect the worst. Look at these stocks like they’re all failures and scams, and there’s no way they’re gonna survive. Sure, maybe you’ll be pleasantly surprised occasionally, but most of the time you won’t be. In the market, you’ve gotta be realistic. In spite of what you might think, it’s not all about the sector or the profit margins … and you should never drink the Kool-Aid and start believing in the product or the technology. So what SHOULD you look for to tell if a stock is healthy? Check out the video to learn what I look for to determine a stock’s health — what to look for in earnings reports, how to find the trend, and how to look to the future. Remember: Stocks are priced based on forward expectations … so even companies in debt can run. I’ll also tell you what will make me step out of my comfort zone to buy a big stock like Facebook… And you need to know these tricks that companies use to mislead you about their value or the health of their stock.
