I love getting messages from my students. I love reading your tweets and comments — both good and bad. This is a new segment: Tweets with Tim. Learn from my students and get inspired! I received a great comment in my chat room this morning. GarseeTrader says, "Yo, Tim just wanted to say thank you for all that you do for us small guys. Made a personal milestone this week by crossing the $10,000 profit mark, starting with just a $2,500 account."* If you think trading is only about money, you’re wrong. I talk a lot about trading with the right mindset and money’s not it. Smart trading is a byproduct of hard work. Studying can literally pay off. Sometimes part of that process is losing — no one wins 100% of the time. Especially for those trading with a small account, you have to learn to lose small. You need to learn to maximize your gains and minimize your losses. My number one rule is always cut losses quickly! It won’t be easy and it definitely won’t happen overnight. You have to learn to recognize patterns and wait for the right plays. But once you learn that process, it's rinse and repeat, rinse and repeat… Don’t trust anybody who doesn't show you every single trade and the details of how much they're trading. Look up GarseeTrader on profit.ly, and you can see every single trade. If you take time and learn patterns that work for you and have the patience to wait for the right plays, you can learn how to grow your account.* Again, it won’t happen overnight, but with hard work and patience, it’s possible over time.
